Speaker: ‘Pro-Russian’ labels used to silence opponents, confirmed by U.S. intelligence

“For years, we have witnessed how ‘pro-Russian’ labels were imposed in Georgia using foreign funding to suppress debate and silence opponents,” said Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili.

According to Papuashvili, the claims made by the Georgian Dream party have now been confirmed by the U.S. administration.

“The head of U.S. national intelligence revealed that labelling individuals as ‘Russian’ or ‘pro-Russian’ is a propaganda tactic derived from intelligence agency playbooks, used to stigmatise and silence opponents.

We’ve been saying this for years, and now it’s been acknowledged at the official level by the U.S.

It’s now easy to spot a ‘Deep State’ agent; anyone who obsessively uses words like ‘Russian’ or ‘pro-Russian’ is either a useful idiot or a Deep State agent,” Papuashvili stated.
