Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili has congratulated his Armenian counterpart, Alen Simonyan, on the victory of the ruling party in Armenia’s parliamentary elections.

Papuashvili shared his message on social media, extending his congratulations to Simonyan and best wishes to the Armenian people.

“Heartfelt congratulations to my friend and Speaker of Armenian National Assembly, Alen Simonyan with the victory in Armenia’s parliamentary elections. I wish brotherly Armenian people all the success, peace, and economic prosperity. The relationship between our Parliaments is dynamic, friendly, and productive. I hope we can advance our ties in the name of the future of our brotherly nations,” the Speaker wrote.

According to the latest available election data, Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party is projected to secure 61 seats in the Armenian parliament.
