Speaker: EU ambassador cannot escape responsibility, unless he distances from throwing petrol bombs in EU's name
“The EU Ambassador cannot escape responsibility, unless he publicly and clearly distances himself from preparing and throwing petrol bombs in the European Union’s name,” the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili wrote on social media.
According to Papuashvili, Brussels has declared the burning of people or property a peaceful and legitimate form of protest.
“Today, a fourth person has been sentenced in connection with the ‘Molotov cocktail’ case, once again confirming the scale of extremism witnessed during last year’s violent demonstrations. It is hard to ignore the link between the numerous arsonists and the ‘I threw it’ campaign promoting Molotov cocktails, which was funded by the EU.
The fact that someone dared take up a Molotov cocktail after Lazare Grigoriadis is entirely on Brussels’ conscience, having declared burning people or property a peaceful and legitimate form of protest. The EU Ambassador cannot escape this responsibility either, unless he publicly and clearly distances himself from preparing and throwing petrol bombs in the European Union’s name. It truly is shameful that Brussels equates the European Union with violence,” writes Papuashvili.
