Speaker names members of commission to investigate 2003-2012 government

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili announced the members of a temporary investigative commission, established to probe the activities of the government and top officials during 2003-2012.

The commission will be comprised of eight members: Tea Tsulukiani, Aleksandre Tabatadze, Tengiz Sharmanashvili, Aluda Ghudushauri, Paata Salia, Sozar Subari, Guram Macharashvili, and Ilia Injia. Two non-factional members still need to be appointed.

“We know that the commission consists of ten members. Eight have been appointed, while two seats remain vacant for non-factional members. The ‘For Georgia’ party, if actively engaged in parliamentary work, can fill these vacancies under the quota distribution,” Papuashvili explained.
