Resistance Platform works to ensure that unlawful decision-makers face sanctions
“Today, law enforcement officers of the regime raided the homes of five citizens, some of whom are connected to civic foundations that support people facing draconian fines, criminal prosecution, and other forms of repression. The raids were carried out for propaganda purposes,” reads the statement by the Resistance Platform, released by former President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili.
“This is yet another sign of how deeply the regime is disturbed by the protests of Georgian citizens. Repression has become the only modus operandi of the Georgian Dream—they are no longer governing, only persecuting. The regime is now trying to convince its supporters that a pregnant woman with a small child was involved in sabotage and actions against the constitutional order. In this hijacked state, there are no institutions left to protect citizens targeted for propaganda nor to uphold truth and justice.
The Resistance Platform will continue to act in the interests of Georgian citizens and push for accountability for those involved in planning and executing these illegal raids. We are collecting data on all responsible parties and will work to ensure that those who make and carry out unlawful decisions face sanctions from our allies,” the statement concludes.
