For Georgia's Kekenadze: October 4 was crime, Zourabichvili must bear political responsibility

Tamar Kekenadze, a member of the For Georgia party, stated that all individuals who urged citizens not to participate in the October 4 elections must bear political responsibility, including former President Salome Zourabichvili.

“On Election Day, Salome Zourabichvili, who calls herself the legitimate president, called on people to attend a rally instead of voting. By standing at that rally, she created the impression that the provocation aimed at overthrowing the government would be peaceful. All those who failed to warn citizens about the provocation prepared by the National Movement and its allies will be held accountable,” Kekenadze said.

According to her, October 4 cannot be dismissed as a simple mistake.

“October 4 was not a mistake; it was a crime. Salome Zourabichvili must be held politically accountable for misleading citizens and giving the impression that the rally would be peaceful. The responsibility lies with everyone who planned, organized, and contributed to the events that resulted in 35 additional victims,” Kekenadze declared.
