PM: We are responsible for maintaining peace in Georgia

“We are responsible for ensuring that peace, stability, and development are maintained in Georgia,”  the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, told journalists on Thursday.

According to the Prime Minister, “The Transparency Law protects our state from extremism and revolutions.”

“The entire society has come to understand that the term ‘Russian law’ was a deception. This is a law that fully complies with international standards, including in the field of human rights, and protects our country from destabilization – including from attempts to encourage revolutionary processes in Georgia through the same EU funds, NED, or USAID. These are former American funds, which were abolished by the Trump administration,” the Prime Minister said.
