Peter Fischer: We've given over 3 million euros to support rule of law project of UNDP in Georgia

“We’ve given over 3 million euros to support the rule of law project of UNDP in Georgia. And a great part of that is going to support the Georgian refugees,” said German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer.

“So they can help themselves. So they can have a place where they can access services, so they can have businesses. So in this difficult time when they have to run away from their home country, they can earn some income and survive this terrible time,” the Ambassador continued.

According to Peter Fischer, “Georgia supports Ukraine. Ukraine was attacked by Russia. That’s an attack on the post-World War II peace order in Europe. We thought we had overcome the times when borders are changed by force or there’s an attempt to change borders by force, by military force. Russia violated that order. We won’t stand for it. We will support Ukraine as long as it takes. It affects our security. It affects our liberty too, by the way. It affects Georgian security and Georgian liberty as well – not so much talked about here.”
