Mikheil Saakashvili: Rally demanding real elections was great success
Georgia’s former president, Mikheil Saakashvili, praised the recent protest demanding real elections, calling it “a great success” and emphasizing the unity and determination of the participants.
In a post shared on social media, Saakashvili highlighted the unprecedented turnout in the scorching summer heat, describing it as “a powerful demonstration of the Georgian people’s high level of civic engagement and resilience.”
“There is no precedent for such a large crowd gathering in the middle of summer, in such heat. It speaks volumes about the strength and determination of our active citizens.”
Saakashvili also noted the absence of rivalry or jealousy among participants, praising the unity that defined the event.
“What I appreciated the most was the lack of competition or envy among participants-there was only solidarity. I congratulate the organizers and everyone who took part.
Strength is in unity!” he wrote.
