Mamuka Khazaradze, Lelo party leader, has met with Georgia’s former president Salome Zourabichvili.

Following the meeting, Khazaradze said the meeting was initiated by his party and aimed at restoring opposition unity through a Resistance Platform.

“For the past week, there has been active discussion about various strategies, whether continuing political life, elections and so on. We are having intensive meetings with all interested groups.

Yesterday we met with parents of political prisoners, activists and experts. Today, at our own request, we met with the president. I want to confirm that the purpose of these meetings is to restore strong unity, so that with a unified strategy and correct policy we can defeat the Russian regime.

I see the resource for restoring this unity because the country is on the brink of an abyss. We must put everything aside and think about what the victory formula is,” Khazaradze concluded.
