Federalists’ Chergoleishvili: October 4 is responsibility of Saakashvili and every political zero who dances to his tune
“October 4 developments are the responsibility of Saakashvili and every political zero who dances to his tune,” stated Tamar Chergoleishvili, leader of the Federalists party, live on air with one of the media outlets.
According to her, Saakashvili chose to gamble with the fate of the Georgian people, go all in.
“Well, whose brainchild are the revolutionary ideas of October 4? Whose political council does Khabeishvili chair? Bokuchava is a zero, Khabeishvili is a zero. This was Saakashvili’s idea, and Saakashvili was implementing it. October 4 is the responsibility of Saakashvili and every political zero who dances to Saakashvili’s tune. This is personally Mikheil Saakashvili’s responsibility, who decided to gamble with the Georgian people’s fate, going all in. He sees that the democratic protest is proceeding without him being able to play a central role,” Tamar Chergoleishvili stated.
When the journalist asked, “Did Mikheil Saakashvili plan the October 4 revolution from Vivamedi?”, Chergoleishvili replied:
“Nothing was planned; it’s all lies. That’s precisely the point; if there had been any plan, Paata Burchuladze wouldn’t be in such a pitiful state, and there wouldn’t have been just two people there, would there? They didn’t even have 100 people who’d follow through to the end; what planning are we talking about?
No one had planned anything; it was nonsense from start to finish. Khazaradze was paying for this nonsense to be staged. Do you know what really happened? Khazaradze decided to enter the elections and claim the status of the main opposition force. Meanwhile, we, the parties planning to boycott, formed an alliance. The rally on July 19 took place, and Saakashvili observed that the protest went well. The process gained a political dimension. Eight parties delivered a statement, and they beat the drum for us. Saakashvili didn’t have a central role there, so he immediately picked Khabeishvili and reached an agreement with Khazaradze: “I won’t attack you; just give me some airtime.”
He put Khabeishvili on Khazaradze’s paid airtime and had him stage this nonsense. Completely groundless nonsense, spreading lies, gambling with people’s fates, in order to strike a blow at ‘Eight’, where he himself wasn’t the centre of attention. He was doing all this in agreement with Khazaradze. He was making appeals too: ‘Don’t attack Khazaradze, let’s just express regret.’ Khabeishvili, in the airtime where he had unlimited access, wasn’t attacking parties participating in elections, but ‘Eight’.
Saakashvili isn’t completely washed up and can see perfectly well that the potential lies in democratic parties. His main competitor isn’t Khazaradze or Ivanishvili, but the democratic process, which will wash away Ivanishvili, him, and Khazaradze so thoroughly that no trace of them will remain.
When we prevail and Georgia returns to the European path, it will wash away this Russian post-totalitarian filth not only in the form of the regime, but also these autocratic parties who don’t respect the Georgian people, who consider them idiots, who think they can buy the Georgian people’s will without taking their wishes and ideas into account.
So, a magnificent process is underway; a democratic process has been set in motion. This democratic process will wash away every autocratic force. The Georgian people will reclaim power and conduct free elections, where they’ll give mandates to parties that serve their interests.”
