SSSG: Georgian citizen unlawfully detained near Bershueti village released

A Georgian citizen unlawfully detained near Bershueti village of the Gori Municipality is released and brought to the territory controlled by the central Georgian government,” said the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG).

According to SSSG, the Georgian government used all the available mechanisms, including the hotline of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia.

“The central government, alongside international partners, continues to work actively to release all Georgian citizens being held in unlawful imprisonment across the occupied territories,” the SSSG said.
