The Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Protection, Mikheil Sarjveladze, met with representatives of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the Chairman of the Georgian Trade Union, Irakli Petriashvili.
According to the Health Ministry, the discussion focused on the current state of labour and social protection in Georgia, ongoing reforms, and future cooperation.
Special attention was given to labour safety, improving working conditions, strengthening social dialogue, and ensuring the effective protection of workers’ rights.
The Minister thanked the ETUC representatives for their support and emphasised that cooperation based on shared values will continue to deepen.
ETUC representatives positively assessed the developments in Georgia. Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to collaborate actively to address existing challenges.
