Health Minister meets with North Macedonian Minister of Social Policy, Demographics and Youth

As part of the International Ministerial on Demographic Sustainability, Georgia’s Minister of Health, Mikheil Sarjveladze, held a meeting with North Macedonia’s Minister of Social Policy, Demographics and Youth, Fatmir Limani.

During their discussions, both ministers addressed the challenges their countries face amid ongoing demographic shifts, exploring policy approaches to bolster social systems and enhance their populations’ well-being.

According to the Ministry of Health, the paries focused on family-centric policies, youth support initiatives, and emerging trends in the modern labour market.

The conversation also covered the sustainability of social protection systems and underscored the importance of sharing expertise to improve the effectiveness of demographic policies. Both parties expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation, particularly in policy development and the exchange of practical experiences.

Attending the meeting were Zaza Lominadze, Chair of the Committee on Health and Social Affairs of the Georgian Parliament, and Zurab Khamashuridze, Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Bulgaria and North Macedonia.
