New modern children’s paediatric clinic under construction near Batumi Republican Hospital
A multifunctional paediatric clinic for children is currently being built near Batumi Republican Hospital, in collaboration with the central and local ministries of health.
According to the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons, Labour, Health and Social Protection, the new, modern, multi-disciplinary medical facility will offer a wide range of paediatric and specialised healthcare services.
“The new clinic will comprehensively meet the healthcare needs of Adjara and its neighbouring regions. The paediatric department is designed to accommodate 91 beds and will feature fully-equipped therapeutic, surgical, and intensive care units. Additionally, a modern haemodialysis centre will be established on the first floor of the building, capable of treating up to 18 patients simultaneously.
Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze, accompanied by Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Nino Nizharadze, Minister of Health of Adjara, and Zaza Lominadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Health Protection and Social Issues, inspected the progress of the construction.
As Minister Sarjveladze emphasised, the primary goal of this initiative is to deliver high-quality, continuous medical services across regional areas. To this end, several significant projects are underway throughout the country, aimed at enhancing healthcare accessibility and standards,” the statement concluded.
