Georgian Speaker meets with President of Chamber of Deputies of Brazil

Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, held a meeting with Hugo Motta, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil, as part of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva.

Papuashvili emphasized that Brazil is “a key partner” for Georgia in the Latin American region and the only country in the region with an embassy in Georgia  – an indicator of “strong and friendly” bilateral relations.

“During the meeting, the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in trade, economy, business, and education. They also addressed the importance of strengthening interparliamentary ties, particularly between friendship groups.

The upcoming visit of a Georgian parliamentary delegation to Brazil was highlighted as a step forward in deepening collaboration.

President Motta extended an official invitation to Papuashvili to visit Brazil,” reads the statement.
