Georgian President visit to Armenia important, Deputy FM says

Georgia’s President Mikheil Kavelashvili started an official visit to Armenia. He will hold meetings with Armenian officials, the President, the Prime Minister, and representatives of religious circles, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lasha Darsalia said on Monday.

According to Darsalia, Armenia is “a very important neighbor” for Georgia.

“We are connected by a strategic partnership, and accordingly, such high-level visits are very important. Issues of ongoing cooperation, as well as regional peace, will be discussed. As you know, very important processes are underway in the region. Against this background, such visits are gaining even greater importance,” Darsalia added.
