Estonian FM: More negative developments towards consolidating authoritarianism in Georgia, paving way for further repressions

Margus Tsahkna, Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs, wrote on X that “More negative developments towards consolidating authoritarianism in Georgia, paving the way for further repressions and eliminating the civic space.”

Tsahkna echoed the EEAS statement, saying, “A vast majority of Georgian people want Georgia to join the European Union. We call on the authorities to demonstrate a genuine and irreversible commitment to returning to the EU path.”
