The National Environmental Agency has issued a weather warning for the coming days.
Forecasters report that from the late evening of June 22 through the afternoon of June 23, parts of Eastern Georgia may experience heavy short-term rain, thunderstorms, possible hail, and occasional strong westerly winds.
“The expected precipitation could trigger flash floods on small rivers and cause landslides or mudslides in hilly and mountainous areas,” the agency stated, noting the danger level is classified as medium.
