According to the National Environmental Agency of Georgia, rainfall is expected across Georgia on May 29-30, with heavy precipitation possible in some areas. Thunderstorms and hail are also possible.

The agency said strong western winds are forecast, while very strong gusts are expected periodically in eastern Georgia, including the capital, Tbilisi.

Forecasters also warned of 4-5 magnitude storm conditions at sea.

The expected rainfall may lead to significant rises in river water levels across Georgia, flash flooding in smaller rivers, and the initiation or intensification of landslide and mudflow processes in hilly and mountainous areas. The agency assessed the danger level as moderate.
