Scattered showers, hail, strong winds, and storms at sea are expected across most of Georgia on May 15-16

The National Environmental Agency (NEA) has issued a warning to the public regarding the weather conditions anticipated in the coming days.

Forecasts predict that on May 15-16, most of Georgia will experience scattered rainfall, with some areas expecting heavy showers.

Thunderstorms, hail, gusts of strong westerly winds, and storm surges of 3-4 points at sea are also possible.

“The expected precipitation may lead to a significant rise in water levels in rivers, flash floods in smaller waterways, and the activation of landslide and sandstorm processes in hilly and mountainous regions (medium danger level),” the National Environmental Agency stated.
