The number of people died from coronavirus in the US surpassed 70 000, according to the Johns Hopkins University.

The US now has more than 1 200 000 active cases of the novel virus. 190 000 patients recovered from COVID-19.

The most coronavirus cases (321 000) were recorded in New York. The death toll in New York surpassed 25 000.
