The US has reported an alarming rise in coronavirus cases – 67 417 new cases and 900 deaths from the novel virus have been recorded in the latest 24 hours, according to CNN.

In total, the US has confirmed 3 431 574 COVID-19 cases. The coronavirus-related death toll has reached 136 466.

The United States has outpaced other countries in the number of reported cases of coronavirus infection and the deaths from the virus.
