Georgian wine advertising banners are displayed at 18 locations in Manhattan, New York
With the financial support of the National Wine Agency and organised by the Agency’s American marketing contractor Colangelo & Partners, advertising banners have been placed in light boxes at 18 bus stops in Manhattan, New York City, as part of a marketing campaign for Georgian wine in the United States.
The so-called outdoor campaign will run for four weeks and is consumer-oriented. This particular time of year, specifically the Christmas period, is the most active in terms of sales, which will help increase the target audience and, consequently, have a positive impact on export figures.
The United States represents one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine. Targeted marketing activities, which have been underway since 2013, supported by the National Wine Agency, have significantly contributed to growth in both awareness of Georgian wine and exports to the USA.
The National Wine Agency is running the Georgian wine marketing campaign in the United States in collaboration with the leading American marketing firm, Colangelo & Partners. As part of this campaign, tasting seminars are organised for wine professionals and industry representatives across various American cities. Georgian wine is also showcased at international exhibitions, with organised wine tours to Georgia arranged for media representatives, sommeliers, and professionals in the sales sector. These initiatives aim to foster greater familiarity with and promote Georgian wine within the American market.
According to the National Wine Agency, the Georgian wine advertising campaign in the USA has been particularly active over the past three months. Georgian wine has been presented at numerous events: at the large-scale Georgian wine tasting Wines of Georgia Grand Tasting (Los Angeles), at the international wine festival Karakterre (New York), at the international wine fair Orange Glou Fair (New York), at the first Georgian amber wine festival Amber Georgia (New York), at the international natural wine fair RAW Wine NYC (New York), at San Diego Food + Wine Festival (San Diego), whilst an extensive feature about Georgian wine was prepared by one of the most popular wine shows in the USA – V is for Vino. Additionally, Georgian wine tastings were conducted in major supermarket chains and retail outlets in various states across the USA.
