CEC urges parties to act within the law and assist election commissions in process of recounting summarizing protocols in a calm environment
The Central Election Commission (CEC) provided the public with the latest information about discussion of election-related complaints ongoing at commissions of Election Constituencies.
Giorgi Sharabidze, a representative of CEC, said that during the meeting with all involved parties on November 3, the CEC expressed readiness to discuss any issue related to violations, faults, misuse of duties and miscalculations over summarizing protocols with high professional standards.
“The CEC already informed the election precinct commissions that those summarizing protocols over which grounded demand and circumstances may arise, should be opened and recalculated by them.
Also, a recommendation is given that the process is held transparently with involvement of all authorized persons, who should be informed about decisions so that they can monitor the process,” Sharabidze said.
The CEC appeals to the parties to act within the law and ethics and to assist the election commissions in process of recounting summarizing protocols in a calm environment.
