Amiran Gamkrelidze – Testing on coronavirus should be widely accessible for clinics and population
The geographic accessibility of testing on novel coronavirus will increase in Georgia – said Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Centre for Diseases Control and Public Health in Governmental Administration where a meeting was held between Prime Minister and healthcare experts.
Who should be tested on coronavirus and how was one of the main topics for discussions during the meeting. Gamkrelidze explained that Health Ministry would stimulate import of tests in the country that would be accessible to the medical network, clinics and private laboratories as well.
“There are enough resources for making tests in the country to those who need it, and an agreement was reached that testing possibilities must be expanded,” Gamkrelidze said.
