Amiran Gamkrelidze – If large-scale studies are not conducted, the only measure is closure of Karajalari, Aghtaklia and Karataklia

Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health said that expanded testing is being carried out in three villages of Gachiani settlement of Gardabani Municipality in Kvemo Kartli region.

Gamkrelidze did not rule out undertaking of radical measures. ”If large-scale studies are not conducted, the only measure will be closure of Karajalari, Aghtaklia and Karataklia,” he said.

Out of 24 new COVID-19 cases reported in Georgia, 10 were recorded in Gardabani Municipality.
