Akhalgori Governor: Attempt to repatriate Archil Tatunashvili’s body turned out futile

“The attempt of repatriation of Archil Tatunashvili’s body turned out futile today,” Nugzar Tinikashvili, Akhalgori Governor told journalists after the meeting with Tatunashvili’s family members.

Governor told how he had received a cynic answer from de-facto authorities that expertise on the body would take one month. “This is inhuman treatment, revenge. They killed the man and continue his torture after death,” Tinikashvili stated.

Repatriation of body of Archil Tatunashvili, Georgian citizen who died in occupied South Ossetian region, was the main topic of the meeting held in occupied Tskhinvali earlier today.

Co-chairmen of Geneva internationally mediated talks met with Anatoly Bibilov, de-facto South Ossetian president. Bibilov stated that it was not simple to satisfy the demand on transfer of Tatunashvili’s body since it was subjected to expertise.
