MIA releases video material into case of detainees on charge of drugs dealing

Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) released a video material into case of detainees on charge of drugs dealing as result of special operation carried out at night clubs in Tbilisi last night.

A special briefing was held at Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) about special operation carried out at Basiani and Gallery Night Clubs in Tbilisi last night in detention of drug sellers.

“MIA and Chief Prosecutor’s Office continue struggle against drugs dealing in relation to the latest tragic death of youngsters. Many juveniles were taken to medical institutions after their visits to night clubs with diagnosis of drugs intoxication. Operative-search and investigation activities at night clubs continued during 3 months.

Eight drug sellers were arrested in “Basiani” and “Gallery” Night Clubs in Tbilisi late last night as a result of special operation. It is confirmed that night clubs represented one of the main selling areas of drugs for drugs dealers,” reads the information released by MIA.
