Gov't prohibits driving for the next five days

In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak and ahead of Easter celebrations this weekend, the government has decided to prohibit driving for the next five days across Georgia.

The restriction will come into effect tomorrow, from 12:00 PM to 21 April.

As Georgian Prime Minister’s adviser Irakli Chikovani noted, this restriction does not apply to cargo transportation and the vehicles distributing products.

“I would like to emphasize that the grocery stores, pharmacies or all other facilities that have been working as yet will continue to operate as usual,” said Irakli Chikovani.
