Georgian Defence Minister participates in 31st meeting of Ramstein Group
Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani participated in the 31st round of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (also known as the Ramstein Group) meeting in Belgium.
German Minister of Defence, Boris Pistorius, and British Secretary of Defence John Healey hosted the meeting at the NATO Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by heads of defense agencies and high-ranking officials from Alliance member and partner countries.
The participants reviewed the situation in the ongoing war in Ukraine and discussed coordinated military aid needs.
The Ukraine Defence Contact Group is an alliance of 57 countries (all 32 member states of NATO and 25 other countries) established in 2022. Since February 2025, it has been co-coordinated by the United Kingdom and Germany.
