Giorgi Gakharia: Despite risks, the transit through Georgia has not stopped

“Despite the risks, the transit through Georgia has not stopped,” the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia stated in the Parliament today.

PM noted that “Georgia managed to maintain its transit function and avoided the outbreak of the novel virus”, however, Giorgi Gakharia mentioned some cases when drivers contacted the virus.

The Prime Minister pointed out that a total of 6 000 Georgian drivers have not lost their jobs during a pandemic.

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia is delivering a report on coronavirus (COVID-19) to the Parliament.

The head of government arrived at the legislature with members of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council on COVID-19.
