Georgia ditches face masks indoors except on public transport and in hospitals

Georgia has lifted a requirement to wear face masks indoors except on public transport and in hospitals starting today, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvli announced at today’s Cabinet meeting following consultation with health experts.

Decreased caseload and stabilized epidemiological situation greenlit the government to scrap the covid regulatory measures, the PM explained.

Earlier today, Georgia reported 51 coronavirus cases, 95 recoveries, and one death.
