Tbilisi City Hall: Streets, two metro stations flooded, gas pipe damaged on Chikovani Street

Heavy rain on August 14 caused some damage in Tbilisi. According to the Tbilisi City Hall, streets, ground floors, and the Rustaveli and Vazha-Pshavela metro stations were flooded.

Abundant precipitation was observed on Tamarashvili Avenue. A gas pipe was damaged on Chikovani Street in Saburtalo district. Restoration works are going on.

“Relevant services of Tbilisi City Hall continue intensively. TbilService Group is involved in clearing roads and streets. Emergency Situations Management Service and the Patrol Police are dispatched to the problematic areas.

In case of emergency, citizens should call the hotline number 0322 722222. Notifications will be responded to instantly,” the City Hall said in its statement.
