MIA confiscates unlawfully kept guns and ammunition in Samegrelo region

Officers of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), through police measures conducted at different times, detained 3 individuals for unlawfully keeping guns and ammunition.

As a result of searches conducted in the residential places of the detainees, law enforcement officers seized various models of pistols, bullets and ammunition as evidence.

The investigation is in progress under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years.
