U.S. Embassy: Charge Purcell and Economy Minister discussed economic ties
The U.S. Embassy in Georgia released details of a meeting between Acting U.S. Ambassador Alan Purcell and Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili.
“Charge Purcell met with Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Kvrivishvili on Wednesday to discuss the economic ties between our countries and the investment climate in Georgia for American companies,” the Embassy said in a statement.
The Georgian Ministry of Economy also issued information about the meeting, noting that the discussions covered a wide range of economic cooperation, including bilateral trade, investment, and transport.
According to the Ministry, particular attention was given to the development of the Middle Corridor, with both sides stressing Georgia’s role as a key regional transit hub. The importance of strengthening the corridor as a stable, safe, and efficient route connecting Europe and Asia was underlined, alongside a focus on ongoing and future infrastructure projects.
