From late Sunday evening through Tuesday morning, Georgia will experience intermittent short-term rainfall and thunderstorms against a backdrop of high temperatures, according to the National Environmental Agency.
In mountainous and high-altitude regions, some areas may see intense precipitation, with possible hail and strengthening winds.
“The anticipated precipitation may trigger flash floods on small rivers in eastern Georgia, while hilly and mountainous zones could see the onset or intensification of landslide and mudflow processes,” the National Environmental Agency stated, noting a moderate threat level.
