Cold and occasionally rainy conditions are expected across Georgia from March 3 to 5
The National Environmental Agency (NEA) has released its forecast for the upcoming weather in Georgia.
According to meteorologists, relatively cold weather with occasional rain will persist throughout the country from March 3 to 5.
In Tbilisi, the weather will remain mostly dry, with daytime temperatures reaching between +6 and +8 degrees Celsius. Coastal areas such as Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia, and Poti are expected to experience intermittent rain, with daytime temperatures climbing to around +10 to +12 degrees.
In the lowland regions of Western Georgia, Zestafoni, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Martvili, and Ozurgeti, occasional rain is forecast, with daytime temperatures ranging from +11 to +13 degrees. Mountainous areas of Western Georgia, including Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Shovi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Khulo, and the Rikoti Pass, are expected to see intermittent precipitation, with daytime temperatures between +6 and +8 degrees.
In the higher elevations of Western Georgia, such as Mestia and Bakhmaro, occasional snow is anticipated, with day temperatures dropping to between -1 and +1 degrees Celsius.
In the region of Kartli, covering Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori, and Tskhinvali, some precipitation is expected, with daytime temperatures around +6 to +8 degrees.
In Kakheti, including Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, and Dedoplistskaro, rain may occur in certain areas, with daytime temperatures reaching +6 to +8 degrees.
Eastern Georgia’s mountainous regions, such as Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Dusheti, Tianeti, and Pasanauri, could see snowfall in some locations, with daytime temperatures from 0 to +2 degrees.
In the higher elevations of Eastern Georgia, Akhalkalaki, Tsalka, Bakuriani, Gudauri, and Omalo, snow is also expected in some areas, with daytime temperatures dropping to -2 and -4 degrees Celsius.
