“In recent years, Georgia has achieved remarkable results in terms of economic development as well as the strengthening of security and sovereignty. Development brings new opportunities, which naturally come with challenges, including on the international stage. The answer to these challenges is singular: strengthening a sovereign foreign policy, consistently protecting national interests, and employing diplomacy even more effectively,” stated Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze during his address at an event marking Diplomat’s Day, also known as the Day of Georgian Diplomacy.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the Georgian government aims to further develop its diplomatic service, enhancing both its agility and effectiveness.

“In 2025, we launched and are incrementally implementing reforms within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Our goal is to further develop the diplomatic service and increase its flexibility and efficiency. Georgia’s diplomatic missions abroad are being strengthened. One of these reforms’ key priorities is attracting educated young people to the diplomatic service. To this end, the Academy of Diplomacy was established, a strategic investment in the country’s future. It will train personnel equipped with the necessary knowledge, analytical skills, robust ethical standards, and an innovative vision. The future of Georgian diplomacy depends precisely on them,” the Prime Minister noted.
