PM meets newly appointed ambassadors to U.S., Hungary and Georgia's new permanent representative to CoE

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the newly appointed ambassadors to the United States and Hungary, as well as Georgia’s new permanent representative to the Council of Europe.

Tamar Taliashvili was appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States, Nikoloz Laliashvili was appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador to Hungary, and Khatia Tsilosani was appointed as Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe.

According to the Government Administration, at a meeting held at the government administration, the Prime Minister congratulated the diplomats on the start of their missions and wished them success.

Tamar Taliashvili has many years of experience in the diplomatic service, public sector and academic activities. She has held the position of Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe since 2022. She has been granted the diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Tamar Taliashvili was a member of the Parliament of Georgia and the Tbilisi City Council.

Nikoloz Laliashvili held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Kazakhstan. He has many years of experience in the public sector, including working in the Ministry of Defense and the Security Council of Georgia, and was also a member of Parliament.

Khatia Tsilosani was a member of the Parliament of Georgia, has experience working in international organizations. In various years, she worked in leading positions in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, including being a Deputy Minister.
