Parliament to vote on setting up fact-finding commission into judicial system on Wednesday

Georgian Parliament will vote to set up an interim fact-finding commission regarding the judicial system tomorrow instead of today, Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Procedural Affairs Committee, told journalists.

Irakli Kadagishvili deems the establishment of the fact-finding commission as a tool of “political meddling” in the court authority.

“The opposition will attempt to harm one of the EC’s 12 points referring to court. I am sure, due to the absence of facts, the commission will reveal the propaganda waged against the court for years,” he said.
