GD MP urges opposition not to engage in work if aims to damage 9 steps fulfilment

The European Commission’s 12 recommendations were entirely fulfilled in the parliament, while 9 steps are mainly to be done by the government, said Irakli Kadagishvili, MP of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party.

Remarking on the opposition’s involvement in the fulfilment of 9 steps, the MP said that “here productivity matters.” He said either the opposition boycotts the work or says it sticks to its own agenda.

“As for whether or not the rest of the opposition will be involved – here the main thing is not the involvement, but the purpose of the involvement and the quality of productivity. If the goal of involvement is to damage the process, it is better not to get involved, and if the goal of involvement is to bring constructiveness to the process and show a real consensus to Europe, then we welcome it,” he said.
