Number of COVID-19 infected persons reaches 2 800 000 worldwide

COVID-19 death toll worldwide has exceeded 195 000 – John Hopkins University reports. The number of COVID-19 infected persons reaches 2 800 000. About 780 000 people recovered from the virus.

The countries mostly hit by the virus include U.S., Italy, Spain, France and Great Britain. The majority of these countries have already started lifting up restrictions imposed in an effort to curb spread of the virus.

COVID-19 was first revealed on December 31 of 2019 in Wuhan, China. The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020.
