Mikheil Kavelashvili's inauguration to take place today

The inauguration ceremony for Mikheil Kavelashvili, Georgia’s sixth President, will be held today at the session hall of the Parliament, beginning at 11:00 and lasting 40 minutes.

Kavelashvili will take the oath on a specially printed inaugural constitution, preserved in the Parliament Museum. The event will be attended by members of the Presidential Electoral College, comprising parliamentarians, local self-government representatives, delegates from the Supreme Councils of Adjara and Abkhazia, government officials, constitutional body representatives, and members of the Georgian Orthodox Church.

Mikheil Kavelashvili was elected on December 14 by the Presidential Electoral College for a five-year term.
