Memorial and church to be built in Shovi to honor landslide victims, PM Kobakhidze says
A memorial will be erected in Shovi, and the construction of a church is set to begin in the near future, as a tribute to the victims of the tragic landslide, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced during his visit to the site.
Kobakhidze paid his respects to those who lost their lives in the disaster and noted that the memorial’s finishing works are expected to be completed within a month and a half.
“The project is fully prepared. We reviewed it once again, and construction of the church will begin soon. This initiative holds deep importance for everyone, especially for the families of the victims, who frequently visit the site of the tragedy. Building this church in Shovi is a way to once again honor and preserve the memory of those who perished,” the Prime Minister stated.
