Salome Zourabichvili is a unifying figure both domestically and among opposition forces, effectively representing Georgia’s interests on the international stage, stated Lana Galdava, a member of Strong Georgia.

Galdava responded to Giorgi Vashadze’s recent statement, in which he said: “The solution is to create a common, large political platform. I want to urge all parties, including Salome Zourabichvili, to set aside party affiliations at this crucial time.”

“We are signatories of the Georgian Charte’ initiated by Salome Zourabichvili, which commits us to implement reforms alongside other opposition colleagues. Additionally, we actively participate in the group she initiated with opposition parties and NGOs focused on electoral matters. This has resulted in frequent communication. However, it’s premature to discuss more concrete actions—those will become clearer as cooperation progresses. I’m not entirely sure what Mr. Giorgi meant in his statement, but in terms of coordination, the opposition has no issues effectively representing the country’s best interests, both domestically and internationally,” Galdava explained.
