Lelo’s Galdava says fighting in elections always makes sense
“We, Lelo-Strong Georgia, have always said, and we reconfirm that we will be engaged in the fight instead of boycott and instead of election nihilism, will be optimistic,” said Lana Galdava, a member of the Lelo-Strong Georgia coalition.
According to Galdava, fighting in elections makes sense regardless of the disproportional environment.
“Politics should be returned to the people and politicians should be in the service of the people. It’s very good that various political actors have changed their viewpoints; this is a positive fact,” she said.
When asked about the fact that part of the opposition thinks that they should hold rallies before the elections, Lana Galdava states that “Lelo” will be there where a battle line is.
“Foremost, this is a constant communication with the population. Fighting in elections has no alternative. It is significant that this fight is not a boycott and we should be active alongside people. We have constant communication with the Georgian people both in the capital city and the regions.
We have always said, and we reconfirm that the fight in the elections has no alternative. We also say that politics should be returned to people and politicians should be in the service of people. Therefore, instead of a boycott, we call on everyone to be in an active fight. Fighting always leads to a result. People’s activity on election day brings great outcomes, because the probability of fraud is very small,” she said.
