Georgia's new ambassador presents credentials to Turkish President

Georgia’s new ambassador to Turkey, Archil Kalandia, has presented his credentials to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a formal ceremony held at the presidential palace on 1 May 2025.

Following the official ceremony, Ambassador Kalandia and President Erdogan held private talks where they discussed the strategic partnership between the two countries, according to a statement from Georgia’s Foreign Ministry.

The ministry added that President Erdogan wished the Georgian ambassador success in his future diplomatic work.
