Ambassador to Turkiye: Georgian President's visit to focus on trade-economic ties

“At the invitation of the President of Turkiye, the Georgian President will pay an official two-day visit to Ankara. Within the framework of the visit, President Kavelashvili will meet President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Chair of the Turkish Grand National Assembly,” said Georgian Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Turkiye Archil Kalandia.

According to the Ambassador, the meetings will focus on strengthening trade and economic relations in the energy, transport, trade, and logistics fields.

“Turkiye is the country of strategic significance for Georgia and the largest trade and economic partner. During the meetings, the President will focus on fostering trade-economic ties. Georgia and Turkiye are key participants of the Trans-Caspian, the Middle Corridor project, and deepening cooperation with Turkiye is also significant in this context,” he said.

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, accompanied by his spouse and delegation, will pay an official two-day visit to Turkiye.
