Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is participating in the United Nations Conference taking place in Awaza, Turkmenistan.
The leaders attending the conference are being hosted by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
The Head of Government of Georgia attended the official opening of the conference, during which António Guterres and Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants.
Irakli Kobakhidze is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference today. The Prime Minister will emphasize Georgia’s strategic location and its role as a corridor connecting East and West, highlighting the country’s importance in offering vital connectivity opportunities to eight landlocked countries.
Before the official opening of the UN conference, Turkmenistan’s National Leader and Chairman of the People’s Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressed the summit leaders.
The official event at the Awaza Congress Center was attended by Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia along with his delegation.
